Culinary Delights

One of the greatest things about travelling around the world is to try the different regional food specialties. In Germany, that means lots of potatos, and lots of sweets...

Rindsrouladen mit Kartoffelbrei: Roulades of Beef with mashed potatoes - thank you Daniela!

Kartoffelsalat mit Wuerstchen - Potato Salad with Sausage - Ruth's grandmother's recipe!

Kartoffelpuffer mit Apfelmuss - Potato Pancakes with Apple Sauce - at a Cafe in Sylt!

Milchreis mit Roter Gruetze und Ostfriesentee - a type of rice pudding with cooked berries, with a cup of Friesentea.
And now Ruth's all-time favorite: Zwetschendatschi (plum cake) with whipped cream - thank you Thomas!

More soon...

Scrumptious! That is one of the best (albeit sometimes scariest) things about traveling.
